Applied Personalized Subject Tutoring
About Isaiah
I’m an engineer passionate about teaching math and exploring ways to apply it!
I earned my BS and MS degrees in aerospace engineering from Stanford University. In 2024, I was the recipient of Stanford’s Centennial Teaching Award in honor of my outstanding teaching contributions to the School of Engineering.
My passion towards math was largely inspired by a number of highly impactful projects I’ve worked on throughout my academic journey including:
climate change mitigation initiatives
skyscraper architectural designs
autonomous vehicle safety and reliability
spacecraft and aircraft trajectory optimization
sports training programs
My hobbies mostly include distance running, fishing, nature photography, Legos, strategy games, exploring restaurants, and roadtrips with family and friends!
Applied Personalized Subject (A.P.S.) Tutoring aims to optimize learning for:
middle school
high school
college students
studying math, physics, and engineering subjects
For each student, I design customized curriculums based on their learning styles and preferences.
In the video below, I use a puzzle analogy to describe how A.P.S. works!
